Anissa began her career as an elementary teacher, in 1999, working with children from PreK to 6th grade. She graduated from Longwood University with a Master of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2014. Anissa's combined knowledge as a teacher and SLP helps her specialize in the pediatric population. She strives to help others reach their potential in articulation, language, and fluency. Anissa strives to be a different kind of SLP educating and helping parents who want to learn ways to support and build speech/language skills at home during everyday activities.
Lindsey is a parent of a child with special needs, this encouraged her to learn more about the special education system, educational based assessments and how to understand the reports given, and the differences between an Individualized Education Plan or IEP, a 504, and a Behavior Intervention Plan or BIP. Her goal is to help families and schools work together to form a relationship where they can communicate and be on the same page to help the child be successful in the long-term.
